On March 1, 2018 Department of Geology and Exploration of mineral deposits together with the Department of Education of Karaganda, within the framework of career guidance held the regional academic competition in Geology among students of 10-11 grades of schools of Karaganda. 49 students from 27 schools took part in the competition.
According to the results, prize places were taken by the following students:
1st place: Shudanbekov Aibar – student of 11 grade of No. 63 school;
2nd place: Uskova Olga – student of 11 grade of secondary school No. 23;
Kim Mark- student of 10 grade of gymnasium No. 97;
3rd place-Bachuk Gleb – student of 11 grade of school-lyceum No.101;
Katkova Iana – student of 11 grade of school-lyceum No. 9;
Burambekova Aruzhan – student of 10 grade of school №2.
All participants of the competition were awarded certificates of participation, and the winners were awarded with diplomas and gifts. Teachers of schools were awarded with diplomas for active participation in preparation of school students for the academic competition.
The guests of the event were: Ruslan Telegin-advisor of akim of Karaganda, Klevtsov S.F. – member of the Board of the club of stone lovers “Ashirit”, Lomakin P.S. – member of the club “Ashirit”, artist, poet and singer. The guests presented their collections of minerals and rocks, read poems, and acquainted students with interesting geological objects of the region. The guests were shown stands with photographs of samples of minerals “Stone lovers club “Ashirit”, with fragments of the field life of geologists.
