On May 5, 2015 in the Auditorium of the Main building of KSTU at 10:00 was held V Republican student scientific-practical conference “The Great Patriotic war through the eyes of youth of the XXI century”.
With welcoming speech to all the participants of the conference were: the Chairman of the Department of youth policy of the MES RK S. Karibzhanov, rector of KSTU, academician of NAS RK A.M. Gazaliev and the Chairman of the Karaganda regional Council of veterans of war and labor O.T. Toregozhin.
Reports at the plenary meeting, provided veterans of the great Patriotic War, home front workers, representatives of museums, teachers and students of Karaganda.

The forum conducted in three panel sessions: “the Contribution of workers and cultural figures in the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war, “Patriotic education of modern youth on the example of the heroes of the great Patriotic war”.
The closing ceremony was held on 17: 00 at the restaurant “Arista”, which will host the third annual ball of the rector of KSTU, organized by the Union of students of KSTU “Zhas Orda”. The event is timed to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. 70 of the best dance couples of the University entertained the guests with classical dance performance.
The ball was in the musical accompaniment of the Academic orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments named after Tattimbet of Karaganda concert Association named after Kali Baizhanov. The festivities ended with fireworks.
