Beautiful young couple, romantic dance rhythms and a whole range of good mood –the evening of May 5 was full of it at “Arista” restaurant. The ball of the rector of KSTU was held for the fifth time. This year’s evening of beauty and romance was devoted to several significant dates in our history: anniversaries to the 100th anniversary of the movement “Alash”, the 25th anniversary of the state symbols of the RK and the 25 anniversary of the Armed Forces of our country.
This event is held for development of future specialists of patriotism, attraction of their interest in creativity, expanding the aesthetic outlook and view, as well as development of skills in collective communication. The idea of holding the ball belongs to the student’s core group of the University and supported by University administration.
The First Deputy Chairman of the regional branch of the party “NurOtan”KadishaOspanova, Chairman of Karaganda regional organization of Kazakhstan branch of the Trade Union of workers of Education and Science Tatiana Samolyuk, representatives of public and youth organizations of the city and the region, the parents of the students and staff of the University were invited as honourable guests at the ceremony.
Opening the ball, rector of KSTU Marat Ibatov said: “Student’s initiative, originated in 2013, loved by all and has already become a good tradition. For the past five years the most active young people of our University ends academic year with such a gorgeous event.
This once again proves that the youth of KSTU is the elite of Kazakhstani student body, which is an active participant in academic, social, and cultural life of University, city, region and country”.
All participants underwent a long and complex selection in order to go out in the day on stage. And, in the end one hundred beautiful couples of five hundred applicants showed their talents in five different types of classical dancebefore charmed the audience. There was merry and friendly atmosphere whole evening at restaurant, which was supported by hosts NurgulUmirtayeva and AkimDuman.
At the end of the event “King and Queen of the ball” were chosen. The ability to dance, also such factors as academic success and participation in public life of the University were taken into account during choice of winners. In the end, the title “King and Queen of the ball” were given to ErniyazZamanbek (3-year of Faculty of Power Engineering, Automation and Telecommunications) and AnaraAskarova (3 – year student of Mining faculty). Prize of spectator sympathies was given to AibatKalkamanov (3 – year student of Faculty of Architecture and Construction) and DilfuzaBaizhigitova (3 –year student of Transport and Road faculty). The winners were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes from the general sponsors of the evening.
