Anniversary Fair 12.12.2019 The traditional 20th meeting of graduates and employers took place in KSTU. This is a unique opportunity for students to find out about the available vacancies at manufacturing enterprises, talk with HR staff and submit their resume.
During the opening ceremony, the first vice-rector of KSTU Aristotle Isagulov made a welcoming speech: “This year, 1648 full-time students are expected to graduate in 40 specialties. The university is engaged in the employment of all students, regardless of whether they study on a grant or at their own expense. The experience of holding fairs shows that this method of attracting employers to the problems of youth in the labor market is effective. »
This time more than 120 enterprises from Nur-Sultan, Akmola, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Zhambyl, North Kazakhstan, Kostanai, Kyzylorda and Karaganda regions took part in the job fair. At a direct meeting, which took place in the lobby of the first building of KSTU, employers familiarized the applicants with the vacancies they have and preliminarily talked with applicants from among the graduates of the university. Young specialists in the field of mechanical engineering and metallurgy, power supply and mining, construction, as well as those wishing to work in the field of information systems and automation of production processes, were in demand. Representatives of large enterprises have demonstrated that they are ready to hire young specialists without work experience. For them, in addition to experience, such qualities as dedication, hard work, readiness for learning and development are important. Employees of the Employment Center in Karaganda told the audience about measures to promote employment of graduates under the program «Youth Practice» and «Employment Roadmap 2020».
Bekzhan Zhamantaev, 4th year student of the Faculty of Energy, Automation and Telecommunications: After graduating from university, I want to get a job in my specialty, in the field of telecommunications services. A week earlier, we posted our resumes on the university website. And today we have the opportunity to talk live with employers. This means that there is a chance to get into a large company. Since I have no work experience, during the interview I think to talk about my real career plans and life goals.
Marina Pavlova, HR specialist, Kazpromavtomatika LLP: Our company has been actively working with KSTU for a long time. More than 70% of our specialists are graduates of the «Karaganda Polytechnic». We need personnel in the field of power engineering, automation and industrial process control. In particular, equipment commissioning engineers, software engineers, design engineers.
