Round table to discuss the project “New humanitarian knowledge. 100 new textbooks in Kazakh language”

On May 25, 2018 in KSTU was held a round table to discuss the project “New humanitarian knowledge. 100 new textbooks in Kazakh language” under the program “Ruhani zhangyru”.   The round table was held in the reading room of the library of the main building, where an exhibition of new textbooks (1485 books on 17 titles), received by KSTU  in the number of the first universities just a few days ago from the National translation center, was organized for teachers and students.

Moderator was an Associate Professor of APK and SHS Kazbekov N.A.

The round table was attended by the head of Department of science-expert support and methodological support of KSU “Kogamdyk kelisim” of akim’s office of Karaganda region Malayev D.B., Vice-rector on Education Affairs of KSTU Alpyssbayeva N.A. Doctor of Economic Sciences, professor, Dean of faculty of Engineering Economics and Management Biryukov V.V., heads of departments EEM Akhmetzhanov B.A., EEM Stebliakova L.P., professor Aubakirova G.M., Associate Professor of Department of Kazakh language and Culture Khamzina  K.M., Àbilkassov G.M., Associate Professor, head of Department APK and SHS Balshikeyev S.B., graduates and students.

As Head of the State N.A. Nazarbayev noted in his program article “A look into the future:  modernization of public consciousness”, “our social and humanitarian knowledge has been preserved within the framework of one doctrine and within one view of the world for many years.” Now we have a unique opportunity to study the philosophy of the ancient world, the middle ages, the history of philosophy, sociology, religion in the Kazakh language in translation from the best known textbooks around the world.

The speakers revealed a summary of the books received by the library, in particular, 4 books on philosophy, 2 books on sociology and linguistics; 3 books on psychology; 1 book on religious studies, anthropology, as well as books on entrepreneurship, economics and management, on the fourth industrial revolution.

During the round table, undergraduates and students were asked questions about the speakers on the timing of the translation of other books, the possibility of using electronic versions.

In conclusion, the moderator noted that the students of our universities will receive a new quality level of training, expand access to the achievements of world science.
