1) The department trains bachelors in the specialty 5B071800 “Power” in the following areas of professional activity:

  • “Power and automation technology systems for general industrial production”
  • “Power and automation technology complexes mining industry”

The choice of professional activities performed within the profession after the 2nd year.

The objects of professional bachelor’s degree 5V071800 “Power” are controlled and electro-technology systems, including:

  • еlectrical equipment of machines and mechanisms (by industry);
  • electric;
  • information transmission system for electro-mechanical equipment;
  • computer and microprocessor systems for control and monitoring modes of operation of electric and technological systems.

2) The department trains bachelors in the specialty 5V070200 “Automation and Control” in the following areas of professional activity:

  • “Automation of technological processes and productions”
  • “Automation, Remote Control and Communication”
  • “Mechatronics and Robotics”

The choice of professional activities performed within the profession after the 2nd year.

The objects of professional bachelor’s degree 5V070200 “Automation and control” are automated, mechatronic and robotic systems used in the following areas:

  • mechanical engineering, aviation, space and military equipment, transport equipment;
  • medical equipment;
  • flammable and explosive production;
  • technical systems, computer-controlled;
  • security systems;
  • information and measurement systems;
  • vision systems;
  • automatic devices that control machines and instruments;
  • automated process control system (APCS);
  • automated production control system (ACS II) on the basis of computer equipment and specialized software;
  • systems for collecting, processing, transmitting information in real time from remote sites and systems of industrial relations.

Education is the equipment of world leading companies in the automation of SIEMENS, FESTO, MITSUBISHI, using licensed software: SCADA-systems WinCC, Genesis, Controller programming language STEP7.

Data are presented on the results of testing in 2015, and include the results of the four disciplines totaling 100 questions.
Full-time training is complete the form on the state order and on a commercial basis. On the other forms – on a commercial basis.
Admission by full forms of learning is based on the UNT or the outcome of the national tests.


3) On a speciality (6М070200) – “Automation and management” training of undergraduates is carried out in directions:

  • “Automation of electrotechnical complexes of mountain-metallurgical manufacture”;
  • “Computer systems of technological control and management”;
  • “Automation of electrotechnical complexes of the common industrial enterprises”.

Undergraduates of chair AIP have possibility to be trained on system of two-degree formation. The second diploma within the limits of a speciality 6М070200 «Automation and management» can receive the undergraduate, had training year preparation at the Moscow technical university (the Moscow power institute), Tomsk the state technical university.

4) On a speciality 6М071800 “Electric power industry” training of undergraduates is carried out in a direction:

  • “The electric drive and automation of technological complexes”, trajectory “Automation of electrotechnical complexes mining metallurgy manufactures”.

The two-degree form of formation of undergraduates of a speciality 6М071800 “Electric power industry” is spent together with Tomsk state technical university under mutually coordinated program.
