Since 1958, the department “Mining machinery and equipment” (GAMET) prepare technical specialists for mining-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, near and far abroad. Since the foundation of the department issued more than 20,000 professionals in the field, “Mining machinery and equipment” and “Technological machinery and equipment”.
In 2013, there was a question about the creation of the Alumni Club at the department. And in 2014 at the initiative of the department faculty and alumni club was founded by graduates of the GAMET.
Alumni Club – an association of graduates of the GAMET. Among the graduates have already taken place as professionals and young professionals.
Meeting of graduates of the department GAMET held once a year. During the meeting they discussed issues on the conclusion of the contractual with the department, establish new business contacts and friends, to share experience and knowledge. Communication environment equal in spirit and people of similar interests, which helps in the process of communication to find new resources, expertise, contacts, business relationships, business ideas, discover new career opportunities. Common information space – a launching pad for further discussion and the launch of new interesting and ambitious projects.
The purpose of the Alumni Club of the Department GAMET – strengthening the unity of the community: alumni, faculty, staff, students, and creating and maintaining a positive image of the university in the educational environment and social environment.
Tasks Alumni Club of the Department GAMET:
– The creation of a data bank on graduates of the Department GAMET to ensure constant communication with the university graduates and among themselves;
– Cooperation and strengthening relationships between alumni and the university;
– To promote scientific and business ties between KSTU, Department of GAMET and enterprises, organizations and institutions in training and re-qualification of specialists and development of scientific activities;
– Contribute to the preservation of continuity and development of university traditions in educational, scientific and socio-cultural activities;
– Development of relations with domestic and foreign associations of college graduates in related areas;
– Expansion of the aspects of levels and trends implement educational functions of the department and the university as a leading cultural centers;
– Creating and maintaining a positive image of the university in the educational environment and the social environment;
– Promote the employment of graduates.
