April 19, 2016 SRI of Patriotic education of KSTU jointly with the SU “Karaganda regional Union of veterans of Chernobyl-Semipalatinsk” has held a meeting with students of KSTU on the 30-year anniversary of the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power station.
The event was attended by over 100 students, teachers from all faculties of the University, major General, Janis Duda Boleslavovich, a Veteran of the Armed forces, a veteran of pedagogical work, the liquidator of the Chernobyl accident reserve captain Naumenko Ivan Konstantinovich, Lieutenant Colonel Minin Viktor Mikhailovich.
The students were shown the film “Exclusion Zone”, filmed on the 30th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Followed by a live conversation with veterans and participants of liquidation of the Chernobyl accident.
