On June 14, 2018, the International scientific and practical conference “Integration of science, education and production-the basis of the National Plan” (Saginov readings No. 10), dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the University began its work in KSTU.
In accordance with the Conference program from 9.00 in the conference hall of the University was held an anniversary meeting of heads of enterprises and companies, which was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Consortium “Corporate University”. The main theme of the meeting is strengthening and development of cooperation between universities and industrial enterprises and business structures and improving the efficiency of the basic departments.
At the invitation of rector of KSTU M.K. Ibatov, at the end of the meeting guests and participants took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of the founder of KSTU, academician A.S. Saginov with a visit to the “Alley of professors of KSTU” opened in the framework of the project “Tugan Zher”.
Further, within the framework of the program of the anniversary event, the presentation of scientific and educational complexes “Industry 4.0” and “Digital engineering” was held.
Scientific-educational complex “Industry 4.0”, opened at the Department “Automation of production processes”, a fully equipped LLP “Promelectrosystem”, official representative of the company Delta Electronic in Kazakhstan. The partner enterprise provided Delta Corporation equipment to the classroom fund of the Department, which includes educational and laboratory stands, allowing to study the development and production of a wide range of products for the automation of production processes. At the end of the presentation, a Memorandum on cooperation in educational and innovative activities in the field of industrial automation between KMG Automation (Atyrau) and KSTU was signed.
At the same time, the guests in real time witnessed the online opening of the laboratory “Energy efficient technologies” of the Department “Energy systems”, which is a kind of result of nine years of fruitful cooperation with Schneider Electric. This is the opening of the second lab “KSTU – Schneider Electric”. The first was the industrial automation laboratory opened in 2015. In the new laboratory, students will be able to get acquainted with modern power management systems, using the scientific base of the University and the best practices of the developer. This will allow them to be ready for practical work at the enterprises after graduation from the University.
Presentation of the scientific and educational complex “Digital engineering” was held at the Department “Technological equipment, engineering and standardization” of the faculty of engineering. The purpose of opening of this complex was the search for a new approach for the training of specialists – designers, technologists, adjusters. At the moment, almost all enterprises are being re-equipped, implemented equipment with numerical control. Thanks to the sponsorship of KLMZ LLP “Maker”, this training complex is equipped with the most modern software NX and TeamCenter, machine tools, equipment of Siemens and Fanuc companies, which are world leaders in this field. With the help of the software, students study and solve the problem of developing a complete electronic layout of the entire product and its components for later use in the process of technological preparation of production, including the development of control programs for CNC machines. The Complex consists of two classrooms, which are equipped with high-performance computers, where you can perform calculations and carry out modeling of various objects and processes.
The solemn Plenary session of the anniversary Saginov readings was opened by the rector of KSTU, Doctor of Engineering, professor Marat Kenesovich Ibatov:
“For 65 years, the status of our University, responding to the needs of the industry and the requirements of the time, has changed more than once – it is a Mining Institute, Polytechnic Institute, Technical University, but remained faithful to scientific traditions. The 10th Saginov readings held today has aim to identify promising areas of science and its integration with production for a new stage of technological modernization of Independent Kazakhstan.
Deputy of the Majilis Dulatbekov N.O., Deputy Akim of Karaganda region for social issues and domestic policy Zh.A. Abishev, heads of city districts, representatives of public organizations, commercial banks, the rector and teaching staff of universities in the region, graduates of different years, undergraduates, students took part in the conference.
Were announced: Welcome address of the Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Z. Nigmatulin, Akim of Karaganda region Zh.E. Koshanov, Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan E.K. Sagadiyev, Chairman of the Committee of Senate on international relations, defense and security D.N. Nazarbayeva, Chairman of the Committee of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan on socio-cultural development and science B.S. Aitimova, head of the Department of internal policy of President’s Administration A.G. Balayeva.
In addition, the University received numerous welcome addresses and telegrams from the heads of departments, departments of the region, public organizations, rectors of universities of Kazakhstan, near and far abroad, veterans and graduates of the Polytechnic University.
The conference has received 757 reports from scientists and experts from 45 universities and research centers 17 countries (USA, France, UK, Germany, Poland, Austria, Australia, Switzerland, India, Syria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan).
Special importance of the conference was given to the participation of the leaders and leading specialists of the largest industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan: JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”, LLP “Corporation Kazakhmys”, JSC “Sokolov-Sarbai mining and processing production association” and others.
With great interest the participants heard reports of foreign and domestic scientists.
The conference included 12 round tables: “Education of the XXI century”, “Energy and energy saving”, “Automation. Robotics”, “Information and measurement systems and information and communication technologies”, “IT and Smart technologies”, “Problems of mining, Geology and subsoil development”, “Innovations in metallurgy, materials science and engineering”, “Actual problems and prospects of construction development: innovations, modernization and energy efficiency”, “Transport and logistics”, “Social and economic development of society”, “Entrepreneurship as a factor of innovative development of society”, “Chemical and biological sciences”.
The final resolution was adopted at the end of the conference.
