On 16 November 2017, III annual city convention of young journalists and bloggers was held in the Palace of Youth of KSTU “Zhastar alemi”.
The event consisted of plenary session “Effective communication media, state and society” and further work in sections. Themes of breakout sessions: “Coverage and proper submission of government reforms in the media” and “Objectives, style and emotional message of the publications in social networks. The extension of the city bloggers pool”.
Director of KSE “Youth resource centre of Karaganda” B.P. Bekmurzayev, Deputy akim of Karaganda on domestic policy and social issues I.Yu. Lyubarskaya and journalist, TV presenter Sadyrbay Askhat Muratuly.
I.Y. Lyubarskaya noted that the main purpose of this and similar events is to familiarize students with the experience of professional journalists, norms of professional journalistic ethics and of course, responsibility for information accuracy.
Askhat Sedarby simply, but succinctly and clearly explained to the gathered students the similarities and differences between traditional journalism and bloggers movement, which at the present stage represents a separate and highly influential force. The aim of both is undoubtedly the desire to provide their audience with information. However, the blogger who is not an official employee of any media, has a number of advantages over a journalist: he is absolutely independent and is accountable to no one. That is why blogger has absolute freedom in choosing the topics and format of the message. Also Askhat Sedarby revealed the concept of “blogging”, “media personality” and shared effective tips for account creation and development blog.
