The chair of the economic theory has been formed in 1962 as a result of division of chair of Marxism-Leninism in which structure since 1953 teachers of chair of political economy worked. It has headed the skilled head, Cand.Econ.Sci. Rahlis Lydia Abramovna which for the short period has managed to create young creative collective of the scientific economists who have arrived to Karaganda from Alma-Ata and Moscow: Shub I.I., Kapustin E.I., etc. Among them was also the graduate of postgraduate study at chair of political economy of KazGU it. С.М. Kirov (nowadays Treasury of Al-Farabi) Kashikov S.K. who in 1965 has been selected managing chair. In 1984 it has protected the thesis for a doctor’s degree.
Kashikov Shagataj Kashikovich headed chair with 1965 for 1991. For this period the chair provided teaching of discipline “Political economy” to students of day, evening and correspondence modes of study at all faculties KarPtI. In its structure 19 teachers, including the participant of the Great Patriotic War Cand.Econ.Sci., the senior lecturer Legkopudov V. N, the worker of back Cand.Econ.Sci., the senior lecturer Lepihin V. F, Cand.Econ.Sci., senior lecturers Imangozhin S.I., Ignatushchenko N.A. (now the Doctor of Economics, professor ВТЗУ in Moscow), Savkin V. A, Esentaeva R. H, Zharylgapov S.M., Gordievich M. Z, as Nadirova Of this year, the senior teachers Nasyrova A.U., Vyletok G. G, Shiljaeva N.P., assistant Alibekov to the River of M. worked
Thanks to support of administration the chair could direct to target postgraduate study in the best high schools of republic Imangozhina С.И., Savkin V. A, Zharylgapova S.M., Gordievich M. Z which have successfully protected master’s theses and have returned on chair in new quality. Have prepared and have defended Kolesnikova L.I.’s dissertations in АИНХ (nowadays КЭU it. Ryskulova), Legkopudov V. N and Levitskaja L.L. – in the Moscow State University of Lomonosov.
In 1992 the political economy chair has been renamed into chair of the economic theory. The number преподаваемых disciplines has increased from two to six: the economic theory, bases of the economic theory, a basis of management, a basis of marketing, a management and marketing basis. In 1995 the discipline of “a business Basis» has been entered. During the period with 1991 for 1993 chair Lepihin V. F who has brought many of new ideas in working out of uchebno-methodical maintenance, in teaching of disciplines of “a marketing Basis» headed, «management Bases», «management and marketing Bases» for students of technical specialities. In 1993 chair Cand.Econ.Sci., senior lecturer Imangozhin S.I. who in 19954 on family circumstances has left Karaganda became managing. In 1994 has been appointed, and then it is selected managing chair Cand.Econ.Sci., senior lecturer Kolesnikova L.I.
In perpetuating of memory of the Doctor of Economics, professor Kashikova, the participant of the Great Patriotic War, the veteran of the work which has brought the big contribution to development of chair of the economic theory, the decision of Council of university to chair in June, 2006 had been appropriated Kashikova S.K.’s name.
