Department of «Energy» was established in 1956 and functioning at the present time. The department is an educational and scientific structural unit of KSTU, performing educational, methodical and scientific research work. It also carries out educational work among the students, preparation of the teaching staff and increase their qualification. The department trains bachelor and master specialists in the field of heat power industry and power engineering.
Department of «Energy» has 11 teaching and scientific research laboratories including 3 computer classes, which equipped by modern computer equipment for laboratory work, course work and diploma projects. The technical base of laboratories is constantly being upgraded, modern pieces of electrical equipment is regularly being monitored and relevant changes are made in laboratory base. Created Unique equipment for conducting natural experiments «Model of turbine generator of CHP» and «Model of heat supply system of industrial objects» had been created.
Department of «Energy» in the educational process cooperates as bases for practices with such enterprises as СJSC “KZELTO”, LLP “KaREM”, JSC “Eurasian Energy Corporation”, JSC “Shubarkolkomir”.
