All-Russian championship of fuel and energy case studies in the field of mining and power industry.


On March 19  at 10.00 in the Karaganda state technical University will host the largest selection stage of the Russian championship of fuel and energy  case studies in the field of mining and power industry.

All-Russian championship in the solution of cases in the field of mining is the founder of the project of the championship and independent part of it. The stages of the League of mining will be held in 19 Russian universities and one University in Kazakhstan – KSTU. Over 1000 students and graduate students in areas of mining will take part.

In the League on the power sector will participate 500 students in the electricity sector. The stages of the League will be held in 15 Russian universities and first – KSTU.

The championship is relevant educational project of the mining sector, which was based on one of the most modern techniques of training – the business case. Participants will be required to offer solutions to engineering problems for real businesses based on specific production and financial situation.

The expert jury will include leading experts of mining enterprises, scientific and educational centers, industry experts and specialists in the business cases.

The project aims to identify and support talented and motivated students from leading universities of  Russia and Kazakhstan, carrying out training the mountain profile and power.

Partners of the championship: Academy of mining Sciences, State geological Museum named after  V. I. Vernadsky, Russian Academy of  Sciences, a non-profit  partnership  “global energy”, the Russian organizing Committee of the world mining Congress, Karaganda state technical University.

Although the project is only two years, he is rapidly gaining momentum and is actively expanding its geography.

Selections of the largest all-Russian championship of fuel and energy of cases in the field of mining and power industry will be held in the University classrooms No. 337 and No. 338 of the Main building.

The team, which will be the winners of the qualifying stages, will participate in the final competition, which will take place from  May 30- to June 2, 2015 in the State geological Museum named after  V. I. Vernadsky, Russian Academy of  Sciences in Moscow.
